Description

The VN5E050AJ-E is a single channel high-sidedriver manufactured in the ST proprietaryVIPower M0-5 technology and housed in the tinyPowerSSO-12 package. The VN5E050AJ-E isdesigned to drive 12V automotive grounded loadsdelivering protection, diagnostics and easy 3Vand 5V CMOS compatible interface with anymicrocontroller.The device integrates advanced protectivefunctions such as load current limitation, inrushand overload active management by powerlimitation, over-temperature shut-off withauto-restart and over-voltage active clamp. Adedicated analog current sense pin is associatedwith every output channel in order to provideEhnanced diagnostic functions including fastdetection of overload and short-circuit to groundthrough power limitation indication, overtemperatureindication, short-circuit to Vccdiagnosis and ON & OFF state open loaddetection.
